I'd like to tell you a little about us. We live in the Beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon with the coast range behind us. We are in a small town where you can hear birds sing, hear kids laugh and lawns being mowed. We also live in an area where its not uncommon to see deer walk down the street or see the results of the deer being in your garden (not too happy about that).

Over 30 years ago we first heard of the Lhasa Apso breed from an article in the Readers Digest and we thought this breed fascinating. Not long after we were on a vacation and a friend of ours had an available puppy which became our first Lhasa Apso. We were hooked. This dog with the long coat, playful loving personality and loyalty. We just adored her. We learned these dogs were called a llama foot warmer and we saw that first hand. Muffy would sit at our feet whether it was while we were relaxing on the sofa in the evening or if we were standing at the kitchen sink doing dishes. Of course her favorite spot would be on our laps.

We only breed 1-3 litters a year because the dogs are our pets first and foremost. They live with us in the house and they sleep on our beds and sit on our laps in the evenings. When we do have a litter we have them close so that we can be with them through birth and the puppies are raised in our living room. They get a lot of socialization and exposure to people, cats, and numerous noises. We hold them, play with them and just spoil them I guess you might say.
